A studio built around the seam between craft and AI.
UNI Entertainment is a Taiwan-based animation and VFX studio. We bring 25+ years of senior craft, an AI-accelerated production pipeline, and a small team that ships at theatrical quality. Our thesis is simple: AI puts the artist's talent on full display — not the other way around.
Senior craft, with the speed of a modern pipeline.
UNI Entertainment was founded in 2014 in Taipei. The senior leadership has 25+ years of credits across Hollywood and Asian production — feature animation, theatrical VFX, episodic television, and high-end commercial work. That craft sits at the centre of every project we take on.
Around that senior core we have built the UNI Hybrid Pipeline — a production pipeline that absorbs AI tools where they accelerate craft, and refuses them where they would replace it. The result is a small studio that delivers at the pace and volume the modern entertainment industry demands, without thinning out the work.
We service two sides of the business: long-form client production (animation, VFX, cinematic content) and the development of original IP — increasingly via the Vertical IP Factory programme. Long-form gives us the craft. Original IP gives us the freedom to push the pipeline.
A small senior core, scaled on demand.
UNI runs on the Power Cell model — a small group of senior leads who own the work end-to-end, supported by a vetted freelance bench across Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Southeast Asia. There is no junior layer making senior decisions; there is no vanity layer of head-count for sales optics.
The leadership team:
- Kith Ng — CEO. Strategy, production oversight, and the most technical seat at the table.
- Paul Yang — AI image and video Technical Artist. Owns the AI-tool bench and the hybrid production rigs.
- Chu Chu — Creative Director. Sets the visual and narrative direction for studio output and original IP.
- Mou — Production Manager. Owns schedules, reviews, and cross-team coordination across in-house and freelance production.
- Jessie — Finance Director. Owns the studio's financial discipline; budgets that hold and contracts that protect the work.
How AI fits in.
UNI is positioning as a leader in AI-accelerated production not because the marketing is loud, but because we have actually rebuilt the pipeline. The hybrid pipeline targets specific stages: concept, design exploration, previz, animatic, asset variants, plate clean-up, voice, and social-format production.
On the right kinds of work, we routinely compress timelines by 40–70%. On final-frame craft, we are honest: the speed-up is smaller, and the senior eye is non-negotiable. We will not promise a 90% timeline cut on work that deserves traditional craft.
The tooling bench changes monthly — Kling, Veo, Higgsfield, Flux, Nano-Banana, ElevenLabs, fal.ai, plus traditional DCC stack (Maya, Houdini, Unreal Engine, Nuke, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve). Tools are ingredients, not religion.
How we work.
- On time, on budget, NDA by default — that's the baseline, not the upside.
- Senior craft on every project — no exceptions for low-budget jobs.
- Honest about what AI accelerates and what it doesn't.
- Multilingual production: English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese.
- Clean-room data handling — your IP and reference materials never leak into a training set.
- Long-term partnerships over one-off jobs. We bias toward strategic partners.
Where the work happens.
- Taipei — studio HQ and senior production team.
- Tokyo — partnerships and senior co-production presence.
- Southeast Asia — vetted freelance bench across the region.
- Hong Kong — long-standing freelance and supplier relationships.
